Our associate degree program focuses on courses in programming from a software engineering point of view:  data structures, computer organization and operating systems and data communication.  Additional focus is on the basic business knowledge courses as well as the use of technology in computers and organizations.  Al requirements from the associate degree program may be applied to the bachelor’s degree program in Information Systems.

Both associate and bachelor’s degree students begin with a core of 20 credit hours in current technologies for production of software.  You’ll learn several programming languages and development environments and gain experience in modern software engineering tools and techniques.  Graduates of the associate degree program usually continue in the bachelor’s program, although students who graduate with the associate degrees are qualified to work in entry-level position in the computer field.

The bachelor’s degree with a major in information systems emphasizes the design and use of systems and software for the management of information in the modern corporate and organizational environment.  Course work will include:  introduction to compute science.
